Lambeth Conference celebrated in national conference Award

Last year’s decennial gathering of the Lambeth Conference has been celebrated in a national awards programme, called the ‘Conference and Events Awards’. Members of the event planning teams at the Anglican Communion Office and Lambeth Palace attended the Awards Ceremony which saw them nominated as finalists in three Categories:

  • Best Development of an Existing Conference or Event (over 800 attendees).
  • Best UK Conference (over 1000 attendees).
  • Sustainability Award

The Lambeth Conference achieved a Bronze Award in the Best UK Conference over 1000 attendees.

On behalf of the Lambeth Conference, former CEO Phil George said: ‘The Lambeth Conference was supported by several event teams and suppliers, as well as content contributors from around the Anglican Communion. Almost one year on from the Lambeth Conference, it’s wonderful that this huge collaboration, that involved so many people, has been celebrated in this way. Our thanks go to all that worked with us to deliver the conference. Our congratulations also go to the other winners in this category.’

Louise Donovan, Director of Events at Lambeth Palace said: ‘We were proud to host the Environment and Sustainable Development day of the Lambeth Conference at Lambeth Palace, the original home of the conference.

Ethical and sustainable practices have always been rooted into our ethos at Lambeth Palace, delivered at every level of our event planning and strategy, and this event is a perfect example of how we deliver sensational hospitality with that commitment at the centre of what we do.

We are delighted to have been shortlisted for this national sustainability award and proud to have worked in collaboration with the Lambeth Conference Company in this award-winning venture.’
