1 Peter – Tuning in
The book of 1 Peter has been chosen as the biblical focus for the Lambeth Conference, to help us explore what it means to be ‘God’s Church for God’s World’.
Over the next 6 weeks, our weekly 1 Peter email series, will share reflections from the official conference commentary and video resources to help you tune in to 1 Peter.
We’ll think about how Peter’s vision of the church can teach us today, reflecting on themes of hope and holiness, resistance and resilience, suffering, hospitality and leadership.
This six-part series will come out weekly.
We invite you to dive deeper into the book of 1 Peter and share your reflections with us.

About the 1 Peter resources
The 1 Peter Commentary and supporting videos were developed as a result of The St Augustine Seminar – a group of international scholars and theologians from the Anglican Communion.
The St Augustine Seminar was convened by Professor Jennifer Strawbridge is the Associate Professor in New Testament Studies at Mansfield College in the University of Oxford.
The commentary and videos on 1 Peter were written before the conference was rescheduled, due to the pandemic.
Ongoing work will be undertaken during 2021-2022 for the Bible Study materials that will be used when the in-person conference meets, to reflect world events.
