Join a movement of people praying for the conference and the life of the Anglican Communion as we seek to be God’s Church for God’s World - and walk, listen and witness together.
Starting from Autumn 2019 and running until the conference starts next summer, get your seasonal prayer diary and pray for this important conference that will impact and influence the Anglican Communion for the decade ahead.
During the Lambeth Conference, there will be a daily praying presence and prayer wall created. We want to fill this with prayers from around the world and feature some on our web site.
Share your prayers today.
Through our prayer journey for the Lambeth Conference, we’ll share prayers and hopes for the Anglican Communion from across the globe.
It will be a time of addressing hurts and concerns; of deepening existing relationships and building new ones; of grappling with issues that face the Church and the world. We will listen to each other; we will seek God’s wisdom to find ways to walk together; we will build each other up as leaders.
Archbishop Justin Welby
God is busy reconciling the world to the divine, always inviting us to reach out beyond the confines of our stained-glass windows to minister to a world longing for God’s love, comfort and embrace.
As Anglicans, we want to say to the world: we are here for you as bridge-builders, working for peace, addressing social needs and - acknowledging our brokenness - doing all we can to rebuild trust and help people to grow into who God wants them to be.
Archbishop Thabo Makgoba
South African Anglican Archbishop of Cape Town and Chair of the Lambeth Conference Design Group
Joining together in a Journey of Prayer in the run up to the Conference is an essential part of our preparation not least as we seek to ensure that our time together is fruitful for the world, for the church and for ourselves.
Mrs Caroline Welby
