Dates of the Lambeth Conference

Convened by the Archbishop of Canterbury, the conference takes place at the University of Kent, Canterbury Cathedral and Lambeth Palace during the summer of 2022.

The dates for the conference are 27th July – 8th August 2022 (with the official conference ending on the 7th August and departures on the 8th August).

In the months ahead of the face-to-face event, there will be a season of prayer and opportunities for dialogue amongst the conference community.

The Lambeth Conference Journey - The phases of the conference

In order to make the discussions and outcomes of the conference as fruitful as possible, the Lambeth Conference will operate in three phases.

Phase 1

Listening together:
2021-2022

Virtual meetings – optional sessions for bishops to meet for prayer, Bible study and to start to explore some of the conference themes. An additional programme for bishops' wives and husbands will also be on offer.

Phase 2

Walking together:
Summer 2022

The conference meets at Canterbury. The full conference programme will be shared nearer the time.

Phase 3

Witnessing together:
After the conference

Working together on conference outcomes and initiatives.
