Resolution 35
The Unity of the Church - The Old Catholic Church
- The Conference heartily thanks the Archbishop of Utrecht and the
bishops of the Old Catholic Church associated with him for coming to
consult with its members on the development of closer relations between
their Churches and the Anglican Communion, and expresses its sense of the
importance of the step taken.
- The Conference requests the Archbishop of Canterbury to appoint
representatives of the Anglican Communion, and to invite the Archbishop of
Utrecht to appoint representatives of the Old Catholic Churches to be a
doctrinal commission to discuss points of agreement and difference between
them.
- The Conference agrees that there is nothing in the Declaration of
Utrecht* inconsistent with the teaching of the Church of England.
