Sue is meeting bishops and their people in Congo this week, accompanied by Anglican Communion Office Secretary General Kenneth Kearon. Thankfully, both their visas were obtained in time for the flight on Friday afternoon...
Since planning for the Lambeth Conference began, those involved felt that it's important for each province of the Anglican Communion to have chance to share their country's hopes and concerns and voice opinions about the conference. Hence the trip to Congo, and many other visits that have taken place in recent months.
Slightly nearer to home, David and I will spend two days in Canterbury gathering final details about the meeting and accommodation spaces available on the campus of the University of Kent (the conference venue). Newly appointed Event Management company Affinity Events will join us on an indepth tour with Kevin Stuckey and Sheena Butterworth from the University.
Canterbury and Congo: the excitement never stops!
